I have just installed some custom flightplans and now when I run FS9 after about 20 mins it shuts down saying my computer has run out of virtual memory and to use disk cleanup, which i have tried but the same problem occurs.

I have over 180gb of free space on my hard drive and I have 2gb of memory so i dont understand the problem??

Is it that I have included too many extra flights for FS9 to run??

i had the same problem Arrow

...and the only conclusion is that something happens with an add on scenery i have installed.I run a fix patch for it and seem that the problem have been solved(thanks to dear TTT who notice it to me)

Maybe some add-one cause this. For me it was very bothering cause i get this message just a litle before land...and my mouse was in real danger to find the wall of my room... Evil or Very Mad Wink

Anyway just in case check your start up programs and try to disable the unecessary ones.

Here are some good start up managers. Arrow Arrow Arrow

many thanks Greekman, I believe I may have some problems with my flightplans though so I will start again from scratch and see how that goes.

well i used FSAuto start and cut down on some of my flightplans so im thinking the only thing it can be now is either one of my scenery addons or its my PAI traffic thats causing the game to crash Crying or Very sad

Well i forgot to suggest a disk defragment too.Always just in case... Wink

I could suggest a useful defragment tool which is the following Arrow

http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tag=srch&qt=o%26o&tg=dl-20

Its sharewhare but if you like it i could upload it for you Wink

Probably your problem starts from an add-on.
One of the movements i also done when i had this problem(seems that im ok till now)was to restore my system just one day before the problem appears.Try it too if you dont mind to do that.

Ive done a full defag, and a scandisk after uninstalling fs9 and all of my addons, im now going to reinstall only the addons i use all the time, one at a time and hopefully see if there is a problem or not.
I have also changed all my military ai flightplans from IFR to VFR in case this is the problem. Then I will uninstall all the default General Aviation traffic and install my PAI packages and see if everything runs ok or not.
Long winded but the only way i can find the problem.
I installed the FS9 update as soon as I installed FS9 and so far with only default aircraft and scenery everything seems to be running fine.
