what are the best settings on my video card options for smooth surfaces and faster performance (better framerates)?

for example.. my screenshots show some jagged edges.. whereas i've seen other screenshots with extremely smooth edges.

what should my mipmap settings be on.. and what about anti-aliasing?

here's my system specs if you need to know:

eMachines T6212 (with modifications)

2.0 Ghz AMD Athlon 64 Processor
160 Gb Hard Drive -- 40 Gb free
128 Mb ATI Radeon Xpress 200 shared graphics
256 Mb ATI Radeon X700 Pro graphics
1.5 Gb RAM

thanks for any help in advance Cool

Try:
AA-4X
AF-16X
Mip-map-4 or 5
Leave AA unchecked in the sim, do AA&AF in the control panel of your video card.
