I'm thinking heavily about upgrading my computer, and here's what I've configured on Dell's site:

Dell XPS 600 Desktop
3.2 GHz Pentium D Dual Core processor with 800 MHz FSB Twisted Evil
2 GB DDR2 RAM at 667 MHz
512 MB nVidia GeForce 7900 GTX video
20" Digital flat panel
250 GB SATA drive

Thoughts? Opinions? I'm sure it will be more than enough to run FS2004 at highest resolution. I'm just thinking by the time FS X comes out my Athlon XP 1800 might be falling a little short.

I think that your choices are excellent.Maybe i would go for an AMD CPU(AMD Athlon 64 3800+ (s939) X2) since im an AMD user.Of course i dont mean that Intel isnt a good choice.

Thumbs Up!

Good choice. I would either add or think about adding another gig of ram sine Windows Vista will be using 1 gig for itself you might want 2 gig for the sim.

You know of course that you could built that system for less than ¾ of that price minus monitor costs on both.
