Thanks for the links guys well that about sums it up I thought the x1300 was a fast card but even my 6600GT beats it on that chart
The reason I wanted to know I am looking for a new PC (sick of bad FPS ) that will run FS9 (and a few other demanding games) with all settings at the max and still have good FPS in incentive areas and this PC caught my eye
but judging by the test score of the x1300 its not really worth it with that card
would it just be a better idea to upgrade my PC to a x850 and get more ram P42.6GHZ (overclocked to 2.9) 1024DDR/120GB HD/X850XT 256MB AGP

If i was you i would try first upgrade only my RAM(to 2GB).Check the results and then you decide.Your GFX is a great card.
Although i believe that with the existing specs you can get great results. If the only problem is the FPS and any visual one ignore it.
Just my opinion. |

Yea I might go for it (after more looking around for what is best deals) To be honest im not really sure were the problem with my FPS lies if not with my card If I do upgrade get 2GB and a x850 for e.g and then find out that there was just some small problem with my settings that could have fixed FPS ot would all be a big waste but I would also like to be prepared for FSX which no doupt will be even harder on my PC (if I get FSX and vista ) P42.6GHZ (overclocked to 2.9) 1024DDR/120GB HD/X850XT 256MB AGP

I was thinking of going for this deal
and maybe upgrading memory to 2GB (not so important) P42.6GHZ (overclocked to 2.9) 1024DDR/120GB HD/X850XT 256MB AGP

This is a great card for what i have read.I also would like to notice that if you upgrade your ram too it is important.Im talking for personal experience.I start having on my system 1GB.Then i upgrade to 2GB and i had difference in multitasking and also to FS(to better of course).
With the graphics settings to high when you go from cockpit view to external one you will notice that your environment and your scenery textures become clear and sharp very fast. Now im to 3GB and the results are much better. |

hmmm.....it makes that much of a differance I will hopefully upgrade ram aswell then. I have a ASRock P4VT8+ motherboard and it says in the manual that it has 1 AGP slot and 5 slots with PCI does that mean i can get one of the newest cards like 7800 or 7900 for my PC instead of an AGP card P42.6GHZ (overclocked to 2.9) 1024DDR/120GB HD/X850XT 256MB AGP

Greekman72 wrote:According to the description( i find it here http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/motherboard/asrock-p4vt8/details/ )yes you can.
If so that great but is PCI the same thing as PCI-E because the x850 seems ti be a lot cheaper in PCI-E then AGP is this because it performs worse in PCI-E P42.6GHZ (overclocked to 2.9) 1024DDR/120GB HD/X850XT 256MB AGP

No it is not the same thing.PCI-E is PCI Express.
Your MOBO has PCI slot so you have to go for a PCI card not for a PCI-E.The major difference is that they have different connectors in order to be plugged on MOBO'S.
Have a look at this.

Read this comparison between PCI and AGP cards
This between PCI-E and AGP(in the mddle of page)
http://www.directron.com/expressguide.html
And here you can read about a comparison between all of them |
