CRJ Yaw Tamper Question

New to the group, and downloaded my first aircraft for FS2004, the Westwind CRJ. Everything seems to work OK, except the Yaw Damper light never turns green as if the YD isn't engaged. Is this normal for the CRJ aircraft?
