I have got Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Toledo Dual Core Processor waiting to be plugged into my pc. But what does the "Toledo" name mean? Does it effect proformance?
Why do they name the cores?

Everyone is trying to get away from the "number game" (I guess) and go to names.
It doesn't help gamers, we have to rely on testing labs to tell us which is the fastest for our purposes, so far they have.

Once you get your Toledo running, download a copy of 3DMark05 from http://www.futuremark.com/ , that will give you an idea of how good it is running. When I first set my D-C up, it was pretty dismal, downloaded the test, and changed a few Bios settings plus nVidia settings, and had a great boost to the speed.

You can get a free demo version, which is pretty good, but the paid one is much better. There is a forum also, so you can compare with others.
