Hi all,

Nice to finally post on here proper. My name is Rob, from the UK and am fairly new to flight simming. I have been browsing (and posting as a guest) here for the past few days, and I'm sure you'll all come in useful as I expand my knowledge!

One quick question as well..... how do you add your own avatar? I can only find the default ones on the profile.

Cheers all Smile

Thanks

Very Happy

Hi cheechm, it's a picture of Concorde on her return home after being taken out of service.

I'm from Bristol originally, so it was a memorable occasion. She flew around Bristol twice, going over Avon Gorge and Clifton Suspension Bridge before landing at Filton Airport - where she was in part built.

A very moving sight, and I love the picture.

Here's some links to a few bigger pictures, you'll quite often find a much larger version for sale, especially in Bristol - worth buying if it's a reasonable price because it'll look great on your wall! Very Happy

Yes, very nice pics. If there is a bad pic of Concorde in flight I don't want to know about it.

Nice pic Chutzpah Wink and welcome Cheers! I see looking at your pic that there's quite a crowd gathered for the fly over.

Yep, that's Observatory Hill below, a good vantage point to look across the Avon Gorge, or if Concorde is flying over looking straight up! Wink

There were even more people at Filton Airport where she finally landed - they closed off the main road hours beforehand because they knew that thousands of people would travel there. The final estimate was 20,000 people (including guests within the aerodrome itself.... I wasn't lucky enough to win a ticket).
