Hi all,

Nice to finally post on here proper. My name is Rob, from the UK and am fairly new to flight simming. I have been browsing (and posting as a guest) here for the past few days, and I'm sure you'll all come in useful as I expand my knowledge!

One quick question as well..... how do you add your own avatar? I can only find the default ones on the profile.

Hi cheechm, it's a picture of Concorde on her return home after being taken out of service.

I'm from Bristol originally, so it was a memorable occasion. She flew around Bristol twice, going over Avon Gorge and Clifton Suspension Bridge before landing at Filton Airport - where she was in part built.

A very moving sight, and I love the picture.

Here's some links to a few bigger pictures, you'll quite often find a much larger version for sale, especially in Bristol - worth buying if it's a reasonable price because it'll look great on your wall!

Nice pic Chutzpah and welcome I see looking at your pic that there's quite a crowd gathered for the fly over.

Yep, that's Observatory Hill below, a good vantage point to look across the Avon Gorge, or if Concorde is flying over looking straight up!

There were even more people at Filton Airport where she finally landed - they closed off the main road hours beforehand because they knew that thousands of people would travel there. The final estimate was 20,000 people (including guests within the aerodrome itself.... I wasn't lucky enough to win a ticket).
