I've discovered that I can turn the scenery up so that unique buildings, especially at airports, are displayed. I don't take much of a performance hit. Autogen, on the other hand,,, Rolling Eyes

I also managed to get real world weather (weather settings at minimal) into the mix. I can even see the spray of the water on the runway olff the landing gear, although my machine doesn't render it terribly well. Lightning looks pretty good, but I couldn't capture it.

Nice, but still that annoying white tarmac, I can't shake it either.
It looks as if it takes a high end machine to show it.

It is odd, the things that you wouldn't think would be a problem, turn out to be one. Look on the bright side. We can see the airport a good distance away. Laughing Laughing

Laughing I agree with you there.
If you back up the texture file I wonder if the runway texture we used in FS9 would look better, or work at all.

Any reason why nobody has tried it yet? There is a chance that aeu7 could work flawlessly in FSX. After all they are just a few bitmaps and all belong in the same folder.
Should there be problems, all that needs to be done is restore the previously backed up Texture folder. Who'll have the courage to try it first? Idea

Not I, I'm afraid! Laughing
The buildings certainly have more detail, from what I've seen so far in fsX, which is rather nice.

Cool

C'mon, don't be a chicken Very Happy -- nothing to it, I promise Whistle

I've read about the improvement in the detail of the buildings. What about the runways though. That's another aspect where aeu7 really shines in fs9, both day- and nighttime.
