Hello, I recently decided to try and improve the resolution during gameplay from 1024x768 to 1280x1024. However, after I made the switch in the settings, a big black bar at the bottom of the screen (only during flight) and the picture is squished vertically to compensate. Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it? Thanks

Your card may not be able to handle it.
Strange it shouldn't allow the setting if it can't do it.
Maybe new drivers but I doubt it.

I know it's not that, I was one of the poor (or dumb) saps that didn't read up before FSX was released, so initially I was using the normal version of FSX and 1280x1024 worked albeit pretty slow. Since then I have upgraded to the deluxe version and learned how to tweak the game, which is what instigated the change back up to the high resolution.
