Mad For the most part I really enjoy MSFS2002 with the exception of the seemingly clueless ATC. I can set up IFR flights and fly along with guidance from the ATC with no problems. Other times the ATC cancels my IFR flight because I (allegedly) fail to fly at the proper FL. My altimeter shows I’m where I should be. Press shift +Z and it says I’m where I should be but the ATC cancels my flight anyway. It gets very frustrating after spending so much time on a flight only to have it wrongfully terminated. Is there a fix or a patch?

Smile Hello running bear

Have you changed your altimeter settings ie are you using the weather update? If you are change them when you get to 10000 to 29.92 then on your desent change it back to whatever atc tells you

This is normal

Hope it helps

Yes I have. I always adjust my altimeter (the B key) to correct for the barometric pressure. I like flying with realistic weather.

And while I'm on the subject, I just finished a flight, with no thanks to the ATC, where had I followed their instructions they would have put me into the side of a mountain in southern California. So when I changed course and altitude to avoid the mountain the ATC canceled my IFR. Too bad. This game/simulator has so many great points to it. It's a pity that crap like this brings it down.

Confused Are you using traffic tools or something? Confused

I know atc is not very good in fs2002 but to fly you into a mountian!

Idea Have you added some terrain mesh because that really screws up atc
