I have
intel duo 2.4
2 gig ram
ATI radeon crossfire with 512 i think
ch yoke
trakir
vista
sorry i dont remember my cache's or ram speed or anything, but its a fairly new system. I built it out of old parts from friends who were upgrading.
I have also dowloaded all the cfg tweaks i could like the terrain tweak, tree tweak and cloud tweak. I just got vista so I still have a way to go to get full use out of my system because none of my stuff is suppost to be vista "compatible". So I have some waiting for other companies to catch up with drivers etc. I'm looking forward to seeing what i can get once i can start tweaking things outside of fsx.
The guys on these forums have been a great help at getting the look better for me. It seems like I've been tweaking since i got it, but its getting better all the time. |

Would the poor water quality be because of my weak Nvidia 128mb 5200 video card?
also would it help if i upgraded to a 512mb nvidia 7800?
The water settings are at the maximum.
Here are my specs:
Processor Intel Pentium 4 3215MHz
Display Card NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
Memory 1024MB
Operating System Microsoft Windows XP
Free Disk Space 81.39GB
Display Card Memory 128MB
Display Driver Version 5.6.7.3
DirectX Version 9.0c
Optical Drive DVD
Sound Card Realtek AC97 Audio
What could i upgrade to get better performance and detail? |

That is about the most realistic picture I have seen on FS. I am amazed at the bushes, grass and cloud detail. Very Good !!! |

Spec's. A couple shots showing the difference in video card settings. I'm running a nVidia 7950 and can get some pretty amazing clarity, but all pc's suffer some on frame rates and performance when settings are all set high. On this shot I left all the other setting where they were and just increased the water slider. Frame rate stayed about the same. It's when you start jacking all the sliders up at the same time that the frame rates can suffer.........

Never mind. I for some reason was just not making out that it's a duck in flight. Pretty cool. How did you get that incredible shot? |
