Theres more than one pilot flying in formations, usually our rivals show one guy blasting around on his own in Wales. I can assure you this is not the case here at RAFv!!!

Its not spam its a way of "BUMPING" my topic up the list so it attracts more members, and it appears to be working we have 400 members at RAFv now.

There are no ill intentions just trying to promote the VA I belong to.

RAFv Pilot's method of promoting his VA I do not regard as spamming. It is unobtrusive and does not offend.

If "reading "BUMP" all the time" annoys you that much, just avoid this thread. Simple.

Ok instead of posting bump would you like an image from our gallery each time I post? This way it gives you somthing to look at and hopefully admire.

Out of our 400 members I would say at least 250 are active, the 150 inactive members being either on a Leave Of Absense, waiting to start training or just plain AWOL lol. We are a very active VA though, I thought that was displayed well in the Video with all the formation flying.

Heres a good image of 1 Squadron on a training night, I was the 4th one along before I transferred to 24 Squadron. And yes they are Harrier Jump Jets, and yes we have a unique hover gauge with NO drawbacks at all!!! Want to fly from our carrier HMS Hermes? Also all our scenery is custom built by our own team, we also have members like Brian Franklin (SIMSHED).

Heres a couple of our guys from Malta in the RAF's new Eurofighter which has just entered service with 3 squadron. Please note that the aircraft shown is the Alphasim PAYWARE model, which we have licenses for! That means we pay you fly and enjoy, all we ask is that you have time to give towards the VA.

Exciting news!

RAFv has just created the South Atlantic Islands Deployment, based upon the real RAF's strategy we have created scenery for all of the RAF's bases.

The idea of RAFv setting up this new detachment is so that Australian, American, Canadian and other pilots who struggle to meet our GMT timezone missions can have their own fun flying together. Interested?

More exciting news!

RAFv is about to launch 2 FSHOST Servers for non members to fly on, we have done this at the request of the real world Royal Air Force as they have association in mind! It is also beneficial for us, it gives us a chance to fly with un registered members in a care free enviroment before they choose to join the RAFv.

I'll keep you all updated with any further developments!

If your looking for realism I can ensure you that RAFv is the VA for you, current active pilots include current RAF pilots as well as former pilots. Not to mention the vast numbers of ex sevicemen who enjoy flying with us, we also have a couple of commercial pilots who enjoy a role change in the way of a Eurofighter Typhoon!

It is expected that in a number of weeks we will be endorsed by the real world RAF as they have expressed their interests in us we are obviously pushing for this as it will bring us many more members along with other benefits

Three 78 Squadron helicopters in formation, the designer of the Puma helicopter (Brian Franklin of SIMSHED) is currently an RAFv member. I've also learned that one of our members is a real world Hercules pilot!

Howdy RAFv Pilot,

I really enjoy checking out these screenies of yours Cheers!

One question comes to mind: Does your VA cater for folks with old style, small monitors?
