Press "Shift+Z" two or three times and two lines of red text will appear at the top of the screen giving you all the information you want.

I cap mine so I'll never know.
FS9 was 27, maybe 35.
FSX is at 20.

I'd rather use the resources for the sim than for useless FPS.
If it's smooth at 20 why go 60????

Yep I looked mine up on fsx other day with High scenery and I got 30 FPS. I didnt figure out how to do it on fs2004 but I know I got alot because it runs smoothly but it probably does on most people computers because fs2004 came out what 3 years ago?

with FS9 and FSX for me...

I have all my settings in FS9 Maxed out and i get 80-130 fps

In FSX i have all my settings at medium low and i get 12-20 fps with Service pack 1

without it, i got 7-12 fps

I'm sticking with FS9 until FSX can come up with patches to make flying as smooth as FS9.

Computer Stats:

nVidia 7900 GS GFX Card
1.256 Gigs Ram
2.93 ghz p4 processor
Duel Monitors ( 15" Flat Panel and 15" Reg. Monitor by Compaq )
160 gigs HDD
XP Home SP 2 O/S
Compaq Flat Keyboard
Saitek Rumble Force 3d Joystick
Microsoft Wireless Mouse

any suggestions to make FSX work better

GFX Card will work with PCI and PCI Express.. currently own PCI Express Version
