That's a good card, but ATI's newest one handed it a pretty hardcore defeat overall.
Problem I have is that I don't have another fan that I can point at my card, so when i run Doom 3, my card gets so hot that it actually shuts itself down completely to save itself...which is a VERY good thing! |

It's an NVidia made by a "partner". I would carefully match it up to the same card made by the company itself.
I know some say the "partner" made cards are better but some say they aren't.
Make sure you get a bigger p/s for the card and your USB drain.
That'll give you big time FPS, cool!
Both NVidia and ATI do it.
Match up, match up, match up.
Really good p/s company

Fantastic, I would like a super size like that myself, good choice.
I have a PCI fan next to my card to keep it cool.

I know that Radarman is an ATI fan,I´ve looked to find some comparison tests,I could also have the ATI XT800 for less money(PCI express) - but everything in gfx happens so fast,it´s hard to keep up |

I'm sure you will research it out and choose the best for you.
You'll have a terrific system, when you put it together let us know what it contains.

Wow, that's going to be a screamer.
That's aluminum with 3 fans, that should keep the hot CPU cool. Are you going to use a copper CPU fan also.
You are going to be able to max out your sliders.

Water cooled would be excellent if the guy that's building it for you knows which is the best and will stand behind his work.
I've read about them and that's something I don't want to try alone, your fortunate to have someone to help.
Keep us updated on that beauty.
That is the smoothest looking aircraft I've ever seen. Almost makes me want to give up GA...nope.

regarding flying - I know that you prefer having something spinning next to your head LOL,I´ll fly in all of them,I prefer the oldies though,I´ve never been much of the punch a button type,it´s getting to be to easy, plot your take off,and destination, set it on GPS,and if you manage to take of,then just turn on automatics, and the thing flies itself-- NOT ME
It´s a nice repaint DaveC has made for you
That´s what Hux has done for me in the CS forum, since I was an emplyee at Wardair for many moons ago,and what a good outfit it was |

That repaint is my new pride and joy.
I just checked on Wardair, they say nice things about it.
Too bad the small good are eaten up by the impersonal big.
I will enjoy hearing about the sim on your new machine, just a few more days.

Got her home on Saturday, and have been busy installing and testing various settings Just ran a 3D05 benchmark at 5300,without tweaking anything, and my fps in FS9 varies from around 20 to 60 with all of the sliders maxed out,and with aa at max and af at max
In other words -- she´s cooking |

Amazing, I'm looking forward to mine more now that I hear about your screamer.
Good luck with it and enjoy.
Let see some of those hot video card screenshots soon.

I have such a card since friday. Very good FPS (PCI latency of card set to 64 to avoid stutters in fast turns) BUT image quality is below of my fried ATI 9800 (rip). One other thing, I wanted to use the card also for more serious things! but it seemes impossible to set it to a VESA mode (sofar)
