Pity none of the flight sims display that kind of detail.
It'll be good when they get to a stage that your own house popps out of the ground

it would be great but photoreal textures are sometimes tricky to put weather schemes on them and night and day would look unrealistic

Aaahhh great! I was wondering whether this existed in the sim... FSX?

Agassi and Federer played tennis on that heli pad a few years ago.

Yer i saw that on a TV Program where people can go on the heli pad and play tennis. Laughing

I would hate to try and dive for the ball and fall of the side.

it's a shame you dont have fsx, tailhook. there are a couple of oil rigs and a refinery available from offshore development group
that sit not too far from dubai, and they look pretty nice. actually, they do have some neat stuff for FS9 also, check them out if you don't already know of them:

http://www.fs-odg.com/

of all people here though, i expect it would be a cold day that i could give you a link you haven't already seen
Very Happy

What can I say... of course I know about the ODG Project, in fact I could swear I signed up with them (I seem to remember that's what you have to do to d/ld) BUT: never wrote down the details when I signed up... at least I can't find them.
One of the guys who was/is involved with ODG is a member here, check it out: http://flyawaysimulation.com/forum/topic/15366/odg-ukez-offshore-scenery-packages-released-selective/

I've had FSX pretty much from the beginning... oh, you know about that, just haven't got a new rig yet so it's sitting on my bookshelf for the time being pretending to be a book.

Anyway, I have some oilrigs and helipads all over the place and of course those weird ships that pretend to be aircraft carriers just because they can park ONE helicopter on deck. You know the ones, yes those with the BIG H on the deck where you're supposed to land. Shocked

I will keep that scenery near Dubai in mind though for the time when I re-install FSX. Thanks for that.

Haha warlord, you've been sneaking up on me - can't help but think that there is a tiny lil bit of sarcasm hidden in your message, what with me trying to convert FSXers back (or should I say forward?) to fs9 Very Happy

My new rig... obviously I've been looking at parts. Just waiting for the next editions of some computer magazines to hit the shelves. I like looking at the pretty pictures - they inspire me. Read
