Are you kidding me?? During that period I was out of the loop, music-wise that is. I noticed unkempt kids roaming the streets wearing black T-shirts with "Nirvana" written on it. I did finally realize that "Nirvana" had turned from a nice place to be into a Rock Band.

One day a had a 'meal' at Subways or some similar joint. It was quiet - I was the only 'guest'. I heard this weird, annoying sound of some guy practicing his E-Minor chord. I was about to complain about the terrible noise when I noticed that the young, bubbly girl behind the counter was swinging her hips and obviously was enjoying the groove. Naaah... don't spoil her pleasure I thought. (I thought she was the girlfriend of the guy who was murdering the guitar just to squeeze that elusive E-Minor chord out of it, you see...) so... not wanting to appear a total boor I asked her politely 'Who's that on the tape' when I paid and she said - her eyes all sparkly - "Nirvana"...

HOLY COW Shocked Shocked Shocked

Fear Fear Fear Fear Fear Fear Fear Fear Fear Fear

Would you believe it if I told you that I never bought a 'Nirvana' CD?

of course i would, i'm gullible, and believe everything!!! Wink Laughing

well, everything except for you having a meal at subway. in order to have a meal, food must be consumed. subway doesn't serve food. just because you can eat it, doesn't make it food. where is eldorado?
you need to go to philly and experience a real sub.
order like this to sound like a native:

gimme a large italian, sweet no hot, no pickles, oil, no mayo"
if you see pepper ham it's a quality sub. if you see just capacola, they are being cheep

Totally agree with you, I'm just trying to go with the times. Someone said: "You are what you eat" -- I figure if I gorge myself on the same 'meals' as the in-crowd does, I might learn how to appreciate the same type of "music".

oh man, let's hope that's not true... think of the implications... peoples taste in music, poisoned by the terrible food they eat!!! if that's true you'd be buying records by "artists" like fifty cent, or (ugh) avril lavigne.
sooner or later, after days with no sleep, you'd end up on some seedy internet street corner, trying to score a copy of eddy murphy's awful adventure into music "my girl wants to party all the time"
i once heard of a guy who ate a bag of circus peanuts, and found himself waking from a sugar crazed stupor with "live through this" by hole and courtney love playing in the backround. i could only imagine how such a thing might eventually bleed into your flight sim life...
finding yourself flying that old man on a broom in formation with the BSG ragtag fleet...ubghrchhkmmfflghh... (i just threw up in my mouth, gotta go brush)

I do not like the Nirvana toothpaste... I hear it smells like teen spirit.

Yuck.

Though I have a confession to make, I am in love with Cobain's widow... Courtney Love... she is totally insane!!!
