I've been out of the FS loop for a while but recently got it installed on a compy. To celebrate, here are some screens from the inaugural trip from 19GA to KAVL. The trip takes place in mid February during sunset. Sorry for so many, I kind of got carried away with the "print screen" button. Enough babbling, here they are:

1. Cleared for take off.

2. Positive rate, gear up.

3. The climbout at sunset. I initially set the weather to light snow, but messed up a setting because it instantly turned to rain. Not like it snows here much in Georgia anyway.

4. Continuing the climb out. Happy that there is water that actually looks like water in this shot. Not using any add ons either (besides the usual performance tweaks).

5. The cockpit. The Baron is one of my favorite models.

6. Exterior. Yes, I am maintaining VFR minimum cloud clearance. Smile.

7. Exterior again. Just looking for a good shot which volume should yield. The mantra of photography I guess.

8. Sun continues to set and reduces the flare/bloom effects on the fuselage.

9. Another shot from the left seat. I love the atmospheric coloring no matter how unrealistic. Also tried to figure out why I was getting low manifold pressure indications (with throttle at 100%) before I realized I was 10,000 ft higher than planned. Thats what I get for chasing after good screen shots.

10. And from the front. Descending into Asheville.

11. Banking right and finding myself back in some weather as I decend.

12. Flying along the ridge as I descend into the pattern. And trying to avoid CFIT.

13. At pattern altitude now but making a pretty wide downwind. Luckily I'm the only one in the pattern.

14. Base turning final. Approach checklist complete.

15. Short final on the glide slope.

16. Shutdown.

17. Good flight.

Love this airplane but I have two issues. First, the trim in full deflection is not enough to keep the aircraft nose up at approach/landing speed which means you have to maintain back pressure (hard with a sensitive joystick). Secondly, and with all complex aircraft in FS, the prop control visibly effects the RPM (gauge), but I would love to hear the RPM drop/rise also, like a real airplane (yes, I'm a pilot in real life too-but only recreational). Anyone agree/disagree? Let me know what you think!

you said about sensitivity on your stick.. try using the fsx settings to drop the sensitivity down a few clicks

looks like u have a pretty decent system judging by your shots what are your specs?

oh and cool shots Cool

Ah, the system... Admittedly this is a good one, although not mine. Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.66GHz. ATI X1950XTX. 2GB memory. Dedicated SATA drive (meaning the FS installation is separate from the OS drive).

chez, I wasn't as concerned about the sensitivity of the stick as much as having to hold pressure to keep the nose of the airplane up. I'm actually going to mess around with the weight and balance of the airplane to see if that has any effect, ie a forward CG.

I can modify the max trim angle in the CFG file to fix it, although I wouldn't want to if the real life airplane behaves similarly. Guess its time for a little research.

Oh and thanks! Cheers!
