got the blue screen of death saying nv4_disp is in an endless loop

spent several hours reading up on how to fix it.... registry cleaners... way scary... and then found one that said just boot in safe mode, download the newest driver, install and reboot.

Problem is.... I can't find a site that has the driver for my card eGeForce FX5500 Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Not even at nVidia's official site.

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

I'm running Windows XP

Do any of you know a good site for nVidia drivers?

I keep getting directed to DriverDetective over and over again and already know that its not free and I don't know how good it is.

and..... I know... the e in e-GeForce stands for ewwwwwwwwww! Embarassed
