Getting promoted

Can anyone tell me how the different users get promoted, lets say from
trainee to something else on the forum.

It's all about the number of posts... the more posts you make the higher you get.

But don't just post useless threads to pad your count, there is no advantage to being a higher rank, it's just for looks.
