After Download - No cockpit

I have just returned to flight simming so perhaps I have forgotten someting. I have re installed FSX accompanied by FSUIPC and SP1. When I open aircraft both the standard FSX ones and some I have downloaded I get everything but the cockpit.
I'm using WXP.
AMD Athlon 64X2Dual Core Processor 6400
3.21GHz 2.00 GB RAM

Without SP2 your only using 1 core of your quad core CPU.
I don't know what OS your running with 2 gigs ram, I hope it';s not Vista or W7.
What video card do you have, do you have the latest drivers.

Are you getting full textures on the aircraft.

I was using Windows 7, NVIDIA 8600GT,
Good textures, sound etc.
I took the soft option and reinstalled Windows XP and FS2004.
I think I must be having 'Senior' moments because now I can't get any aircraft off the runway! Any ideas?
