I have been trying to install the Fat Albert texture from various sources with the same zip file namely c130ba.zip with absolutely no luck at all. I have followed the simple instructions but it positively refuses to recognize the texture. When I select Mike Stone's C-130 and click on the Marines texture, all I get is a black screen where the plane should be rotating. Here is my aircraft.cfg for the Fat Albert as I was instructed to install. The zip file was designated for FS2004 so I am at a loss. The file was downloaded from Simviation page 23 at the top.

Has anyone else downloaded this zip file and was successful in installing the new texture for the Fat Albert? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It says something about his no tank model being required, do you have that.

FS2004 Blue Angels C130 (Fat Albert) Textures only of Mike Stone's C130 (sc130h.zip available here ) and his no-tank model is required for the textures to work. Textures completely reworked with individual rivets, JATO rockets etc. Painted by Tony Gould. 363K

You numbered it 2, try numbering it 3.

Hi RadarMan... Thanks for the reply. I do have the clean C-130 of Mike Stone's in the aircraft listing. I also renumbered the [Flightsim.2] to [Flightsim.3] and the aircraft was not visible at all. Since I don't see any other complaints, it seems either they do not have the C-130 aircraft by Mike or they do have it and have had no problem with the new texture. I have changed many textures in the past but this one has me fooled. Is there any other information I can give you just to make sure it is not cockpit trouble.

Thanks

Try, Click Alt to get menu bar and go and go to windows view so it isn't full screen.
Alt+Enter will do it also, see if that changes the black screen.
Rename it 2 from 3.

If that doesn't cut it then try new video card drivers.

Hi RadarMan.... I found the problem. Here is the aircraft.cfg file now. Compare it with the original one above. I only made two changes, the first was placing the Blue Angels in parenthesis and the second was placing clean after the model.

[fltsim.2]
title=Lockheed C-130 (Blue Angels)
sim=c130
model=clean
panel=
sound=
texture=angels
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id=N700MS
atc_airline=USMarines
atc_flight_number=1123
atc_parking_types=GATE,RAMP
ui_manufacturer=Lockheed
ui_type=C-130
ui_variation=USMarines
description=
atc_heavy=0

Many thanks for your kind help
