Hello folks,

I have been using FSX since 2006 , but only sporadically. I came home from Iraq on 26 October 2009 (4 months early) due to getting bitch slapped from the busines end of an RPG.

Anyway to make a long story short, I am starting to get serious with my hobby as it helps me through getting back my hand eye coordination.

I signed up here sent the 5 bucks and have DL quite a few aircraft(Windows 7). My problem is every aircraft I try to import into FSX seems to fail. For every 10 import attempts, I may be successful in importing 1.

Some of the ones that were successful like the A330 /A340 have a virtual cockpit but the gauges are blank and the fuselage is transparent . It is frustrating and discouraging. I know you all get the same question, but any help and should I DL a particulat zip opener like winzip or no?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Gauges are blank because they need to be put into the main gauge folder, not kept with the aircraft folder (check out the read-me) that come with the download.
Blank color, the chances are that you either have DX-10 checked in the Sims settings (uncheck it) or your video card isn't strong enough to render the colors.
