Missing "Panel" Files

I recently had occasion to have my pc's hard drive reinstalled and I subsequently re-installed FS9/2004.

I had noticed that all the aircraft that I had earlier saved to plug-in hard disc looked ok at the time of the "save" and the normal files appeared in the "Panel" folder. After reinstallation the following appeared:-

1. reading the plug-in hard disc aircraft transferred had lost the file of lined information "Window 1, Window 2, etc"

2. after installing the FS9/2004 software each aircraft had a "Panel" folder but the file of lined information, like that in 1 above, had also disappeared and all that showed in "Panel" were the .cfg file and pix of the panel.

I can't understand this as I am still operating the same XP operating system. Has anybody met this?
