How do I get top menu back?

I am a novice with Flight Simulator.

I was flying Flight simulator, and hit something with my mouse by mistake. Suddenly, I lost the top menu, and the screen resolution is terrible. How do I reset the resolution, and get the top menu back? Even after exiting the program, and then returning, the problem still exists.

Dean,
Place FSX Disk one in your CD/DVD drive, when the disk menu loads select Repair.

Hit the ALT key and the top menu will pop up.

Thank you for your help. after repairing with the disk, the screen looks better than it had been even before the problem.
