Hi there,

My name is Stuart, and I would like to introduce a new Virtual Airline to you. It's called ExecAir, and is modelled on the executive air travel sector. This means we have a fleet of prop and jet engined luxury aircraft, and we operate domestic UK and Pan- European flights. We have a lot to offer to virtual pilots, with pilot training & exams, fly-in and tour events, chartered and scheduled flights, support for auto-PIREP submission via ACARS and much more. When ExecAir was in the early planning stages, one thing was clear, we wanted to create a community spirit amongst the members, so this is something we will be actively working on continually.

The planning stages of bringing ExecAir into active operation are almost over now. With this in mind, we need people to take up staff positions within the organisation and we are also welcoming applications from potential pilots. For anyone wishing to join ExecAir, there is a basic entrance exam to sit, and this consists of 20 multiple choice questions, taken on-line. The questions are concerning basic aviation, ExecAir and flight sim knowledge, nothing too strenuous, we just want to make sure our pilots have a basic understanding of these topics.

ExecAir is, and always will be, a community driven virtual airline, so we need people who can get on with others easily, and are willing to listen to others opinions. We also expect a mature attitude from all members, including staff. We do ask that applicants for staff roles do have some relevant experience and have been active as members of ExecAir for some time before applying for the staff role. Anyone who can demonstrate recent experience in any similar roles will be considered immediately though. Further positions may become available as ExecAir expands its operations.

Current Vacancies:

HR Manager
This is a senior position. The post holder is responsible for overseeing recruitment and membership within ExecAir.

Flight Operations Director
This is a senior position, and the post holder is responsible for developing and promoting the flight operations of ExecAir.

Publicity Manager
The Publicity Manager is responsible for ensuring ExecAir is being promoted online. In addition, the publicising of ExecAir events and recruitment drives is a direct responsibility with this role.

ExecAir Training Director (ETD)
The ETD is responsible for delivering effective, engaging and enjoyable training to all pilots wishing to participate.

Training Officers
There are two types of training officers, who are overseen by the ExecAir Training Director:

ExecAir Systems Training Officer (ESTO)
Responsible for providing training to new recruits on the ExecAir PIREP, ACARS and flight booking systems.
ExecAir Flight Training Officer (EFTO)
Responsible for providing basic and advanced flight training to pilots who wish to undertake such training.

For anyone who is considering applying, they must read the Pilots Handbook before they apply. It can be found here:http://execair.org///pages/pilotshandbook

If anyone would like an informal chat, before they apply, please do not hesitate to contact me at stuart at execair dot org

Thanks,

Stuart

An amendment to the requirements for applying for any staff position with ExecAir, has been made, due to timewasters, and it is in effect now. Any applicant who wishes to be considered for a staff position is required to gain a minimum of 10 hours flight time with ExecAir before they will be considered. We believe this is both fair and sensible, as we want staff members who are interested in being active pilots for ExecAir. We certainly don't want people applying for staff positions purely because of the staff status. By completing at least 10 hours of flight, we believe this goes some way to demonstrate a members commitment to ExecAir.

We are looking for people who are interested in helping grow and develop the VA, and who can be active members within the VA. This is a great opportunity for anyone who would like to take their VA experience to a higher level too, and actually get involved in the management and decision making process. Attitude and commitment is much more important that experience, and if you have a can do attitude, and can demonstrate commitment, then we would love to hear from you!

Thanks,

Stuart

Just a quick note to inform anyone who may be interested, that ExecAir is officially in operation now. We have over 100 scheduled flights available with 17 aircraft. In addition, we cater for chartered flights and have just launched a custom ACARS program (EXAcars). Our pilots are racking the flight hours up now, and anyone who wishes to join us is more than welcome!

Thanks and happy flying,

Stuart
