Rick: What is going on, there is a block on the FSX screen when you get the screen that lets you chose the A/C it is called (show all variations) if that is not checked it will only show default A/C.

With all due respect gentlemen if you lay your frustration to one side for a moment and contemplate on what is usually referred to as 'common sense', the fact that so many others seem to have had and are having the same problem might lead you to the conclusion that the question has not only been asked - but also been answered a thousand times.

So I'll make two basic suggestions which will hopefully prevent you from smashing your computer to pieces or 'borrow' dad's sawn-off shotgun and go shoot the neighbours or join the extremists / fanatics hoping to meet everlasting delight in the company of I don't know how many virgins after you've blown yourself to smithereens.

Firstly: Use the SEARCH function. The purpose of the SEARCH function is to SEARCH for answers. Make sense?

Secondly: If the SEARCH function plays 'hard to get' you can always post your question/problem here in a legible manner... by that I mean Give us some information!!! such as file-name, file-library, name of the author, your Operating System and whether your copy of FSX is pirated or legit... anything. The majority of problems can be traced back to pirated copies... so in this case I should really advise you not to bother and waste our time.

Pretty simple, eh? Idea

my car wont run. no i dont know what year it is or make or model or size of motor or if it has any gas in it or what happens when you turn on the key. would you say this to your mechanic? of course not. fs could stand for flip side or fishing ship or falling snot but maybe for flight simulator also. is that microsoft or fly or rc or 2000 or 2002 or 2004 or msfs9 or fsx deluxe or gold edition with acceleration. is your system compatible with what you download. when you put the file in the aircraft section do you look to see if it has a little zipper on it? if it does it is not unzipped and you have not downloaded the contents into that file you have just loaded a zipped file into your aircraft folder and that is not hard to do, sometimes you unzip the folder and there are zipped folders inside which have to be unzipped. when i click on open my cp unzips it automatically but if the contents are zipped you have to click open until everything is unzipped. do you have a 32bit or 64 bit system. windows seven can come with either system and can make a difference. if its not compatible it wont show up. so at least tell what flight simulator you are using. you wouldn't shoot your toaster if it wouldn't bake a ham would you?

Be careful, he could've smashed his computer by now from his lack of patience and you asking for too much. People don't think or use common sense any more! Laughing
Please direct your complaints to the moon, they might care there.

ricky Sometimes I have unzipped a file i thought was an aircraft download and it was textures only. your download should contain a model, panel, sound and cfg file and textures for that aircraft. when you drag it to your aircraft folder make sure you dont put it in another aircraft folder by accident.., if you get a little too close to another aircraft file it can go inside that file and then it looks like it disappeared or vanished. then you have to open each aircraft file until you find it and drag it back out to a place not near anything before releasing it. i know this sounds basic but i have seen zipped files i had dragged into the aircraft folder and then wondered why they did not show up anywhere. if your pants are zipped you cant see whats behind the zipper and flight simulator cant see behind zipped files either.
