I currently have cfs3, but have heard it is not as good as the previous two! i was just wondering in terms of online multiplayer which one is the best to have?

I don't thave any but I understand that 2 is better than 3 also.

I am not a fan of combat flight simulators, but the 2 is surely better than the 3. The most decent ww2 aircraft game is Il-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten battles though
