I haven't done multiplayer for a year or so, and I can't remember how to host a session. Please help.
Thanks.

I believe you can just go to multiplayer in FS9 and there is an option to host a session there. Alternatively, host a game at www.zone.com . Hope that helps Wink

Thanks.

1. Go to Start>Run type 'cmd' then 'ipconfig'.
2. In the run box type 'ipconfig' and you will get your IP address, give this out to whomever you want to join your session.

OTOH, since so many of us are behind hardware and software firewalls today, this sort of multiplayer mode is becoming tougher to set up for those inexperienced in dealing with their router, SP2, zonealarm, etc.

Jon's advice about The Zone is good. Just make sure to have your CD4 in the drive for any of the CD Games there.

I did that Start-run thing, but it just poped up for a second then went away, I didn't have time to see the IP. If I hover the coursor over my earthlink icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen, it says "IP Address: 209.181.38.48" But yesterday it said a different one. Does it change?

Sorry, go to Start>Run type 'cmd' then 'ipconfig'.

The Zone will still be the best bet though, unless it has changed much since I last used it.

The second post in this tread by SoCalRick explains the IP connection, you can look over this forum for some others who wish to fly or go to the zone to fly.
