OK I have old Ch pedals/throttle/f-16 combat stick. I have a new pc that I built myself. Now as you would guess there's no game port to hook these old sticks up to. So I did put an older sb live sound card in the pc and hooked the controllers up to that. I have 2 issues with that.

1) the integraded sound on the MB is better sound.
2) The older card is slower and I really don't want anything slowing down performance.

Even with the sticks hooked up this way I've gone in and calibrated them through windows, No matter what I get a pull to the left. I've gone and installed the drivers from CH but they do not work. When I go into the config of the sticks to calibrate the calibrate windo freaks out and locks up my pc. Like I said I can get it all to work but it pulls to the left.

I'd love to for one find a way to connect these controllers without using the old SB live sound card! I bought a little blekin serial to usb converter for 3 bucks. It see's somthign plugged in but dosn't know what. I've seen the game converters for around 30 bucks. do those work? I've been looking for some sort of stand alone game port card but have not been able to find one. If anyone has any suggestions on that I'd love to hear. Also if anyone has suggestions on getting the gear working correctly so they do not pull to the left I'd love to hear as well.

My pc is running Windows XP pro btw.

Thank you for taking the time to read this all and for any input you can give me!!!

Confused You should be able to connect the controller via the sound card and still use the onboard sound(in the Bios)

I know the little converters you are on about, might be worth swopping it for another, just incase its faulty

Have a scout about on ebay for cheaper cards

I just ordered a 2 port pc game port to usb converter with 3 modes off of ebay so will see if that works or not. I still have know idea why It trags to the left though. the only thing I can think would be why is cuz of the drivers. But I installed the only ones I could firnd on Ch's web site and they don't work. I can see ch products in the add list now in windows. But when I chose any of them and go to the properties the properties window freaks out and I can't calibrate them. Anyone ever see that happen?
