Flight Sim 2004 quits without a warning at startup

Hello,

I've just installed FS2004 on my computer. Every time I try to start the application, I get the splash screen and, after a few seconds, everything dissapears. fs9.exe is no longer running on my system, but there where no warnings.

I've looked at various kb articles on the Microsoft web site without success

I have a P4 HT with a nVidia 5950 Ultra card.

First make sure you have the up to date drivers for your graphics card
Then have a trawl through these posts, they had the same problem and an easy fix was found...........here's the link

It worked! Thank you very much.

I have my "My documents" linking back on another drive... so simply moving back "My documents" to default (without moving everything), starting and closing FS2004, and then moving back "My Documents" link to the other drive (without moving everything) + transfering the "Flight Simulator Files" folder worked great.
