Yeah its real! I been there before, yes it is in the carribean, around the US virgin islands and stuff, here's a couple of vids of landing and takeoff...

Some great videos, thanks.
The second one reminds me of what I used to do years ago at KLAX.
I would stand at the fence and they came in less than 100ft overhead, I could feel the sound in my entire body, amazing.
I'm sure that's not allowed any longer.

I've been to St. Maarten. It amazes me that anyone would bring a 747 in there. That airport is not designed for such aircraft.

You better hurry up and write the officials a letter- and outline what airports are designed for such aircraft before they screw up and land yet another 74- later this afternoon.
