Guest Ed is right, learn from it.
I have interviewed hundreds of people and I can tell you that eye contact and body language tell way more than what you say or especially what is on your resume. How you look and act will let the interviewer know many things from how you handle stress, how confident you are, how interested you are in the position, to the extreme of how honest you are being.
The interview is your opportunity to sell yourself;
Dress for the position
Be friendly and genuine
Sit upright, no slumping down in the chair
Be natural with your gestures, look at the interviewer, and be engaged
Demonstrate confidence in your abilities
Be prepared to expand on your successes that you listed in your resume
Be honest about your short-comings but make it clear you are willing or even better, excited to learn
This is also your time to ask a few questions about the company and expectations for the job you are applying for. I would also ask for a tour of the area. They need to sell themselves also.
As for salary and benefits, I would wait for a follow up interview (unless it is brought up in the first), and then see what they offer or negotiate what I could.
Good luck!!
Thanks Mike
