My CH Products joystick is great for flightsim because you can turn off the auto-centering but it only has two buttons and no hat-switch. However I have a Belkin Nostromo GamePad which has an 8-way switch under my thumb (rather like a game pad directional controller).

Anyway, I can't seem to make the controller on the GamePad into a hat-switch for FS2004 and smoothly move the view around. Rather the view 'jumps' from view to view.

Can anyone offer any advice please?
