I took my first flying lesson today and it was so much fun everything is so amazing from up there I think flight sim did actualy teach me something! I had a general understading of the insruments and I knew only to apply very little changes to the yoke.I cant wait for the next lesson P42.6GHZ (overclocked to 2.9) 1024DDR/120GB HD/X850XT 256MB AGP

Congratulations, it must have been exciting.
It's nice to hear that the sim helped you, at least a little.

Thanks guys!
The scenery is not so great up here in the North Island, but still quite nice.
I guess I will be to busy learning to admire the scenery anyway. I will keep you all posted about the lessons.
Thanks,
Jarred |

Congratulations, Ranald! Isn't it nice to see the little houses and buildings from a high altitude?
I can't wait to start my pilot school this december.
Oh, by the way, how was the landing?
Jarred, I'd really love to fly over New Zeland. I love the mountains, lakes, and all that. When I watched the movies The Lord of the Rings, the scenery was amazing! |

My local aero club are purchasing 3 of these new Alpha trainers, to be delivered in New Years.
The Robin Alpha is a great little plane to fly
Its used at my local flying club

TTT, I have heard many great comments about the Alpha as well, I'm not sure if you heard but New Zealand has taken over the manufacturing at Alpha Aviation, which is based at my local aero club.
Guess I will have to start in the Cessna 152's, until New Year when we get the Alpha's.
Good to hear that it's a great plane to fly, so I cant wait until exams are over in a month or so, then I can get training!!
Thanks for the link,
Jarred |

Thanks guys I cant wait ntil the next lesson! The landing was so much fun! it was a bit scary becouse of the moderatte terbulance (wind was gusting at 17 knots) and there was one bump that gave me a fright it was realy more of a scenic flight as the insructer let me circle all the casltes The insructer took over at about 50 feet The only thing I think FS2004 simulates horrible is rudder .
