Mypilot I certainly don't want to spoil your fun and excitement.
1. Looking at your profile I see a myriad of buttons at the bottom of your
page - I don't know what they're for but it wouldn't surprise me if they
were part of the reason why you get infested with so much junk.
2. To switch from a DELL to an HP cannot be considered to be an upgrade.
Unless you change your computing habits, you'll soon end up in the
same situation that you've just been in.
3. The printer was NOT "free". The $100 worth of "rebate" was no rebate
either. Check out the specs in your new computer and you'll know what
I mean.
4. It's not your fault, Mypilot. But I think there should be laws against this
kind of outrageous deception of unsuspecting customers - all in the
name of "free enterprise".
To sum up: Don't believe everything you hear, especially if it's from the mouth of a salesperson. There are no such things as "FREE" extras - somebody's gotta pay for them and that somebody is YOU!!!
Try and refrain from clicking on everything that glitters and flashes and promises you free stuff on the websites you visit - and don't be tempted to fall into the trap of the nowadays widely used scaretactics such as "your computer clock might be wrong" or "you have won... a washing machine or a trip to the moon or whatever" or "your computer might be infested with malware click here now for a free scan..."
My advice : DON'T click!! Instead run the well known apps. on a regular basis and you should be fine in this department at least.
Last but not least I wish you a happy birthday
Regards, Rick
