My pic above the MD-11 in American Airlines livery is another goose. It's a complete package with several different repaints and quite a few flights, including the required scenery.
The flight in the pic is an 'adventure' where you take off from the river somewhere in South America - you have to follow up the river and find a crew of workmen, land and take off again. Let me tell you it's not as easy as it looks. Great fun though because it's all hand-flying.

The only notice i would like to do(in a friendly mode of course)is that if we want this topic be friendlier to users lets use http://www.imageshack.us/ for uploading them in a thumbnail format(choice For forums.
There maybe some guys here which dont like to scroll or dont use a big screen resolution so maybe our shots are huge for them.Thumbnails of imageshack enlarged ,are better in view.

In principle I agree with you Greekman, there is just one little problem.
While the vast majority of members have fast connections these days, this convenience does not seem to have an effect on the tremendous amount of effort it seems to take to click on a link or a thumbnail.

I know that because I'm so oldfashioned that I just can't shake off my habit of reading instead of scanning.

Every single day I read threads in which the same question is asked repeatedly even though the links have already been provided within minutes of the question being asked.
I've stated it elsewhere before, the 'scanners' will only pay a fleeting attentiion to either the first or the last post in a thread and then jump to some conclusion.

Back to the screenshots - I obviously cannot prove it, but I'm convinced that because of the fast connections, the majority of the forums browsers are quite happy to click once on a topic and let the page load itself rather than having to execute more than one click... by having to click on thumbnails and links.

Agree or disagree with my observation, love it or hate it... if you look closely, you'll find that I'm right. Yes

Pro Member Chief Captain
Greekman72 Chief Captain

There is no point to agree or disagree in this my friend. Its a personal choice respectful one way or another.
From techical side i use broadband connection only for a month. Before this i was a dial-up user.I ensure you that the size of the thumbs is to small so,at least in my case, i dont have to wait a long to see them.

Anyway....no meaning to turn it to a big deal...Final choice are always ours. Wink

I just done a multi-player session with SteveT from Wick to Inverness. I'm in the PMDG 1900D and SteveT is in the baron 58

Parked up

We're both airbourne and heading towards Inverness

I've already landed major engine and gear problems so I went in first and SteveT followed me in.

Its from hovercontrol, its freeware, voted the most realistic/best freeware chopper on a couple of sites.
http://www.hovercontrol.com/

And download the one on the right, personal edition version 1.0. It takes a bit to fly tho, you have to run thru a checklist etc, or take the test on the website. Remember to turn the invertors on to get your dash working, and when starting up, to turn the generators on, or you will end up just running on the battery, and not getting very far.

Theres an autopilot/autohover you can active under your view menu as well.

augus0404 & 99jolegg,

DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION Question Exclamation Question Exclamation Question

You guys have posted some truly astounding shots. I need to know your specs and settings!!!!

My system specs are:
P4 3.6gig
2 gig of ram
nvidia 6800gt 256mb ram graphics card.

I only run AA at 2x because if i set it higher then i dont get a preview plane in the preview panel, just a black box. (this for me is a complete pain!)

My sliders are set at max and at a busy airports i get 10-12fps and iin the air in clear skies, 30fps upwards.

Now i would love your help, please!!

Can you both reply with a PM as i would hate others to think i am taking this screenshot forum off topic too much.

Thank you for replying Sir, your pointers re flying the bird are welcome too - can never get enough hints on how to control these recalcitrant choppers.
Finding the one in question though is a different affair. I should have asked you for the file name or description because I can't find it Wall Bashing
I'm well aquainted with 'Hovercontrol' but unless I've been missing out completely in the past, they tend to shuffle their files around on different pages, which as a result renders the links incorrect. It might be just my way of perceiving things, though.

So if you would be kind enough, please post the file name and/or description. I've had many Hueys in the past, but I want the one in your excellent screenshot and the texture as well. Like a spoiled child, I know, but hey - what's wrong with that Baby

Thanks for the suggestion my friend.

Im flying these days in a multiple waypoints journey from Athens-Dekelia(LGTT) to New York (KGFK) over Turkey-Siberia-Alaska-Canada with a Mooney Bravo.
Im still in the beggining (only 4 waypoints)and im over Russia.
Winter time in Real Weather and real time flights. Its amazing to watch the temperatures in an add-on Temperature Meter i had put..
I have reach the -34Celcious(-29.2F)..Very Happy .
Most of these 4 flights were in strong weather conditions such as snow, strong side winds, and a lot of fog.
I dont touch the time settings...i just leave it to follow the time i start(morning) and now its night and foggy...It seems like drifting to the universe...No sence of up or down of Alt ,of time...Nothing...Silence and lonelynes with the engine sound as the only sign that there is something alive outhere....
In such kind of conditions we understand how useful the instruments are more than ever...They are your sences... Wink

I see you also have photoreal scenery for West Sussex like me, and I have noticed in your pics that the horizon is kinda blurred and un-real like mine. Well you need to add some AI traffic with real aircraft and liverys, and you have two options to do this: 1) Buy Ultimate Traffic like me, which has thousands of real world airlines and routes pre-installed, and you just click once to complile it and from then on, you have real AI traffic flying around your skys. Here is a screenie of my Gatwick with Ultimate Traffic installed, with all the real airlines, but crap default scenery- nothing as good as yours Wink

(2) You can download all the AI planes, repaints and routes you want, and manually add them yourself. Someone once explained how to do this to me, but it was mind boggerling (LOL) and way to advanced for me so I never touched it! If I were you, have a chat to sonicninja as I know he's put in lots of Military routes himself on his sim Cool

Some of your pics are out of this world and we appreciate them very much (including the one of your mother-in-law) --- but don't you think it's time you started sharing your expertise by writing a tutorial of some kind? Time permitting of course. Hack

Ive decided to make my own website for this very purpose tailhook, ill be providing tutorials, repaints, flightplans etc and maybe even some small scenery addons (in the form of ships, no shore based scenery sorry), ill keep you posted with progress.
Ive recieved many emails from flyaway members asking for custom made flightplans which they have been really happy with.
This weekend I designed a whole squadron of AI Bucanneers in Royal Navy colours along with a flightplan package operating from RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland (used to be RNAS Lossiemouth). This package is currently going through some BETA testing and will hopefully be available shortly. Very Happy

After Bindolaf's AMAZING edit, I thought I would submit an edit of my own. Although nothing compared to his, it is just a disortion rather than a modification of a "Jumbo" Air New Zealand 747:

Thanks Micah- I've not got some screenies of my new Howard 500, which I have seen hundereds of times in Greekman's signiture and then finally found a download of it! Razz

For a fast old warbird, it sure is great to fly by hand, aswell as being the only tail-dragger I have ever found easy to land! I love it! Also, the model is fantasic. It looks so powerfull and majestic, and very realistic too. Even the curtains in the cabin open and close on your command Very Happy

BTW- has anyone noticed how photobucket have changed their IMG tag format???

I was flying from EGPA Kirkwall to EGPO Stornaway. I was using this mesh:
https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/2865/fs2004-realitypack-12-original-version/
https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/2865/fs2004-realitypack-12-original-version/

With this package the WHOLE environment in Flight Simulator will feel more vivid, vibrant, and full of life! This package modifies the lighting and the skies to create a more realistic experience. Finally, Flight Simulator will feel like itís actually lit by the sun!

With the new lighting you can expect everything in Flight Simulatorís environment to improve dramatically as a whole during all phases of the day! And by that, we mean everything including, the skies, clouds, mountains, airplanes, buildings, trees, landscapes, 3D objects, and surfaces. It will literally give your sceneries and airplanes a brand new and fresh look!

FEATURES:

-Vibrant skylines change realistically during all phases of the day.

-New and beautiful dawn, day, afternoon and dusk textures.

-Dramatically improved lighting and sky textures give the whole environment in Flight Simulator a fresh new look.

-Lighting changes realistically according to the time of day and seasons.

-The whole environment reflects a realistic appearance of the sunís light according to the time of day.

-Day sky textures change along with the seasons.

-More realistic reflection of the moon at night.

-No effect on frame rates whatsoever

The reason I thought it was one of mine is because it seems as though was taken from the Puhiri Road lookout, and I took a pic of an ANZ 777 in that position too, but afterwards realised it had a different background, sorry for the mistake J1!

Anyway- here are some shots of my new Avro Shakleton, the RAF's upgrade of the Lancaster Bomber which I took out for a spin over Western Australia this afternoon:

I had the same problem when I first run it, but then read the readme file that says:

Installing Gauges:
Copy "PD_SHA" folderin Shackleton gauges folder and paste to the FLT SIM gauges folder.

I like the fact that it has two coils in each engine.

Hi Micah, thanks for the compliment!

Sorry I couldn't get back to you earlier as I have only just got home from college Evil or Very Mad and the first thing I did has check the forums lol!

I downloaded it from avsim under the file name trump_boeing_727-200.zip (http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=trump&CatID=root) which is 6mb and includes both the model and hand-painted texture!

What do you mean by getting it to look so smooth? I think that it's just the high quality paint job as I am on medium graphic settings!
