Guys
Can you help
When should I activate vectors to final, flying 737 within fs2004
Regards
Hey George,
Vectors to final is basically a navigation line, eminating from the runway you are going to land on. There isn't a specific distance or time limit to activating vectors to final, but if you are flying a flightplan, then activate it after you have cleared your last waypoint before reaching the runway. If you want a long approach without turning, you can activate it from 50 miles or more and simply fly the runway heading whilst descending.
Hope that helps 😉
When you want to fly your own or ATC supplied heading to intercept the localizer. The other option is to fly the complete procedure in lieu of vectors. This may entail a holding pattern or procedure turn (course reversal). Vectors to final in the easiest and the more prevalent way to fly an approach. You should select it approaching your destination. No exact point but say within 50 nm after you transition to a heading.
Hey guys
Thanks for all your help, don't know hat I would do without you.
Regards
George 😀
