I have to wonder how the frame rate will be with all of the new detail now. Hopefully the developers will fix it to allow those out there with not so fast PC's to enjoy the new Sims.

Hopefully this time around they will add military aircraft too!

Well, I like the scenery and aircraft, but I sure hope there is a way to turn off those blasted birds!

A big improvement for me, is that the roads actually look like roads instead of dirt tracks.
I wonder what will happen CG to actually fly through those flock of birds ??? maybe they've included engine/screen damage, I doubt it though.

😀 Well the scenery looks impresive 😀 and the Q & A has disspelled some issues,ie backwards compatability and the need for the new Vista

I am saving the pennies for a new computer already. Just read the review and specs, very impressive but very demanding. The screenshots of the dynamic scenery and textures look immense. Better sacrafice a few things over the next few months to run this beast.

Note the fact that the specifcations give are for FSX to run on mimimal settings.

FSX will be on a DVD and they said that they will not put out a CD set.

Are they going to force us to put the DVD into the DVD caddy in order to run the sim or will it be fully loaded.

I know there will be a NO-CD-crack out (if necessary) before or a day after it hits the shelves but I wonder what MS's thinking will be with DVD's.

About halfway down in that Flightsim.com article there's a picture of a yellow/white 172 overflying some streets and buildings from maybe, what, 500 feet? Based on what I've seen of FS9 (not as much as all you guys), I'm flabbergasted. The local streets, the buildings, the trees.... All looking sharp and detailed and quite three dimensional. I recently installed MegaScenery New York, which I thought of as pretty good, but it offers nothing like that view at such low altitudes. If that screenshot actually represents a real place, and FS X can offer that kind of scenery realism for a lot of the world, and it can run without me having to buy a $250+ graphics card and dual core processor (still frighteningly expensive, to this simmer), then not only will it be a staggering visual improvement over what I have now, it will require a whole new approach from the scenery add-on makers, as well.

I guess I'm saying, I love those screenshots, but it would be really interesting to know exactly what we're viewing in them.
