Copy DVD?hmmm...there are a lot of parameters which you dont refering to.
Freezing when you copy,or when you play the already copy film?
What kind of DISCs are you using?DVD-R?DVD+R?
In what speed you DVD writer writes and what speed are you DISCs?Which program are you using to copy them and how you can copy a film since they are encrypted?

When you copy a long video I believe it is broken up into smaller segments. It's possible you're gettting a freeze at the end of one of the segments. Try pressing the 'next' button when it freezes.

It may also be that you are trying to fit a lengthy video onto a 4.7gb disk without comprtessing it and only half of the original is getting written to the target disk. It's not freezing it's just you're seeing as much as there is.

There are tools to use that will compress a full length DVD onto a 4.7gb disk by removing all the formatting from the original. DVD Santa (payware) is one that comes to mind.

Thanks RM. Iget as far as this page

DVD Shrink is freeware. However, due to U.S. laws, we can't host nor directly link to it.

Please use the following search engine below to find your own copy:
Current stable version: 3.2.0.15

...type into the Google search bar 'DVD Shrink', and that keeps taking me back to the same old site that wants to charge me for freeware Evil or Very Mad

Thanks Radarman and Greekman, both your links worked perfectly. 👍

It's strange how some pay-sites seem to be able to hijack your search (no, I don't mean the browser) - you google, you follow the links and you keep ending up at the same belligerent pay-site Evil or Very Mad
