Now while we're at it - would you mind checking for me whether the PMDG 737 includes an Autoland feature? I am aware it has an autopilot - but what about the 'autoland'??

Much appreciate Yes

By the way, this is one good looking panel - makes you forget flying just staring at the beauty of the panel... Shocked

Thanks for the link!!!

Hi Tailhook Smile as far as I'm aware, the PMDG 737 800/900 does'nt have an autoland feature, I have'nt come accross it anyway, you can check it out here http://www.precisionmanuals.com/html/73789.htm

although I'm not sure about the PMDG 737 NG
you can check it out here http://www.precisionmanuals.com/html/73767.htm

I dont know if you have already, but after downloading the panel, and as stated, it is not compatible with FS2004 default 737 aircraft. Although, after downloading the panel, you can also download, freeware self extracting, Boeing 738 livery pack with full sounds, that is compatible with the panel, from here http://www.sky-decks.com/sd-html_010.htm
After downloading this package, the 738 is ready to fly with the panel already installed, and she flies and handles like a dream Smile after trying it, you may decide not to go for the PMDG.
Obviously, some of the features on the flyable panel are disabled untill purchased, but give it a go, I think you'll love it Smile I love the HUD.

Thanks for the links you provided and your effort. I've already read and re-read all the info contained in these links, but as is the case with PMDG you can only access the forums if you're a paying customer. - So 'autoland' feature or not still remains a mystery, though I'm inclined to trust your suggestion that there isn't one. I'm really trying to find out for a friend.

What amazes me is that there must be at least several hundred members who own the PMDG 737 but either don't know or can't be bothered to divulge this little information to someone who just simply wants to know.

So much for the friendliest flightsim forums on the net.

I'll be downloading the Livery Pack with Full Sounds! as soonas my Censored connection is in the right mood. Good find fourby, it's all looking really good Thumbs Up!

Hello again Tailhook Smile I've been reading through my operating manual for the 737 800/900 and it doesn't have autoland feature Crying or Very sad

Although, you can download the full operating manual for the
PMDG 737-600/700/800/900 from here http://www.precisionmanuals.com/html/downloads.htm

Click on Documentation, click on 2nd file down on next page, 1st file on next page. Smile

I much appreciate your tireless endeavour fourby, we seem to be onto the real thing now! I'm downloading the PMDG 737 Operating Manual hoping it to be the right one.

I'll study it after I've had my siesta, the brain is getting a bit mushy at this stage, but thanks man, I think this could be the one Very Happy
