I have seen some movies being posted recently - and although they are not of FS i thought I would share some links with you guys.
I know I shared 2 movies made by the IL2 movie makers a while back but this can be for those who missed the topics.

This a movie I starred in 🙂 I had made an online mission to do torpedo bombing on a Japanese carrier, I had read about the statistics of the survival rate of torpedo bomber pilots and my friend decided to make a short film based on the mission we flew together.
None of this is staged so it was a bit rough around the edges but we felt it reflected the danger involved as the statistics rang somewhat true.
I am in the Beaufighter in the desert colours, all pilots were humans flying online - the only AI present was the AA on the carrier.
This next video was made some time ago so the gfx look a bit old, but this movie puts a lump in my throat every time I watch it. Covers the brave pilots of the Luftwaffe who gave themselves to defend themselves against the Russian onslaught - a fantastic video. *edit* I say this as they were fighting in incredibly poor circumstances and they still faught to the last - I just want to be clear I do not support Nazi views and what have you - I just have the somewhat romantic opinion that aerial combat was a more shivalrous sport for the large part and that all combatants involved regardless of which side they fought on were very very brave young men. S!
This video is an amusing piece of footage cobbled together by some chap on a public dogfight server where "bandits" were clearly in short supply
And one of the ones I posted before, the utterly superb "Come With Me" action movie, no particular story line to this one, just some amazing camera work by the film director and some Pacific theatre based action:
Enjoy
I thoroughly enjoyed those videos (the last didn't work).
I have IL2 FB, it was on my machine for a short while, not being one who enjoys reading directions I dove into the game never finding the enemy and going on long boring missions that ended in battle with just a few other aircraft, nothing like you just showed me, and that's the original, not FB.
Possibly one of these days, because of enjoying your videos I'll reload FB and take another look.
Tell me, does the game favor one side over the other at all.
It depends entirely on the mission really..
Most of the guys play co-ops online, there are dynamic campaign generators that make campaigns that people play through and there are people who build historic one off missions with the aircraft numbers and whatnot as accurate as they can get.
in terms of the aircraft - you have to "boom 'n zoom" in the 109s as they aren't able to turn with the Spitfires and so on so there is quite a lot of the real life positioning - use of the sun etc to get whatever advantage you can.
We play our co-ops with all aircraft markings off (no little red text readout by the aircraft like you have in FS)- so you're literally looking around the sky for tiny black dots hoping not to get bounced.
There is a wealth of aircraft that can be controlled only by AI too, so you can make mission to escort a Catalina on a rescue mission and have it land on the water at a pre determined point.. pick up something and take off again etc.
Radarman, the last one - did the download not work or did the movie not play?
Its a shame as that one is absolutely fantastic.
Thanks for the reply, as for the video my Media Player opened but never played, the others as I said were fine.
Do you have the DivX Codec installed?
*edit* possible silly question as I am pretty sure the others are encoded the same way
Enjoyed those Insight. I just wonder, can you tell me please if there is a patch, same as the one for fs9, to save keep putting the CD in to run IL2. It does get tedious at times, I've searched with no luck, hope you may know.
Thanks if there is one, and you can point me in the right direction.

Check this out.
Hi Radarman
Appreciate your good intentions, downloaded the recommended dll for my version 1.0 IL2, replaced the original with the DL'ed one. Now it doesn't work at all!
If only they put those CDs in a case, where you can get the disks out, without breaking fingernails. Suppose I shall need a fresh install. Oh well, I didn't like it much, so will just remove it.
Thanks for trying!
