My internet connection is via a cable modem, which feeds a Linux firewall, then a 3COM 10/100 switch, and finally to all my computers. My primary computer has an internal address of 10.0.1.2 with gateway 255.255.255.0. My second computer is 10.0.1.4, same gateway.

Would it be possible for me to install FS2004 on both computers, and my son could be on 10.0.1.2 while I'm on 10.0.1.4 and the two of us fly together.

Any FAQs or tips on setting up the multiplayer so the two of us can fly together, or does it have to be done via an outside server?
