I've seen many post's over the weekend about framerates and FPS. If you want to see how your system handles why don't you run a benchmarking system.
Here is the latest 3dMark06 version it's a big download (no Dial ups your be downloading for ever). 576 MB in total.

This will show you how much your system can handle.
This could show some intersting results. All the magazines run these progrmaes to test the latest games.
