hi, I just invest $160 which bought Radeon X1300 AGP card to my 2 yr old 1.6gz HP computer.. but it won't start.. It saying 'invaild hardware or driver detected'

The drivers currently installed for your card may cause your computer to stop responding when flight simulator is running.

Anybody has any idea what 2 fix this matter?

thanks ❓

Download the latest drivers to a new folder on your desktop.
Then delete the old drivers with the http://www.drivercleaner.net/ .

Now shut off your anti virus, install the new drivers then enable your anti virus again.

If you have a problem do it in safe mode.

Hi, Radar.. thanx for the comment but I already have new drivers from the web also I don't have a virus scan installed on my computer right now.. Radeon X1300 does work with flight simulator right? When I run in safe mode, it still won't detect 3d acceralation.. very slow.. 😞

Maxboost,
Re-seat the card and be sure the fan on the card is running and you have the power supply is hooked up to the card.
Delete the card in the device manager and restart the computer. A bubble message should appear in the system tray telling you that Windows has found new hardware.
Then do the driver clean and install like I posted in the other post.

Are you sure that your Graphics Card is compatible with your MOBO?Maybe my question sound silly(and probably is) but check it just in case...

Were you using an AGP Graphics card before? or was your card on board?

If it was on board you may have to disable it in the BIOS first and enable AGP instead of PCI.

I use an ATI Radeon card and use the drivers from Omega

http://www.omegadrivers.net/

They work much better than the official ATI drivers

maxboost7,

All that has been mentioned so far is true to what you need to do. I did not see your reply to uninstalling the old drivers. And yes ATI Radeon cards do work. My concern is you MOBO like Greekman. You can have the new drivers downloaded but if you haven't uninstalled the old ones well. I guess that you know that now.

Please keep us posted.
