Does anybody have a favourite flight plan? Preferably short distance IFRs.
Tnx in advance.
p.s. I use fs2004 🙂
go vfr in a light, low powered plane (like the cessna 152) the go from zell (LOWZ) to salzburg (LOWS)
you need the alps addon mesh. it's can be very tricky finding your way through tight valleys 🙂
that's my favourite flight.
OK great. I'll give that a try. 🙂
Try going from LYBE to LYTV.
Here's the real life route:
LYBE - VAL - (KOSIV, TORTO, BEDAK, MODRA) MOJ - POD.
Make sure your cruising altitude is FL230 if you fly a jet, and FL100 or FL130 if it's something like a Cessna.
If you want to fly without the default ATC, go get charts here: http://www.scgvacc.net
😉
My favorite is Phoenix Skyharbor KPHX to Los Angeles International KLAX, via the Buckeye Departure to the Redeye 2 approach. I usually do it at night, since that's what "Redeye" stands for. Substitute also the Paradise 4 approach for daytime arrivals.

There aren't a lot of waypoints, and they're all easy to dial in...the only thing is that the departure chart from Phoenix doesn't have frequencies, you just have to look them up on the FS map, and pencil them in.
Average flight time, 55 minutes.
Goodluck!
I don't know what do you mean by short, but I like using the real ones, like for example with an A319 easyJet from Berlin Schönefeld SXF to Liverpool John Lennon LPL,about 2h flight with all preparation. Also Amsterdam-Stockholm is very nice, or Berlin Tegel TXL to Nürnberg NUE. In US I like long distance flights, JFK-LAX, Las Vegas-Newark. Miami-Washington, San Francisco-Tokyo Narita etc.

I tried that route, and the duration was just good. The landing on the airport was rather challenging due to the mountain in the way, but i stil managed.
Well, I've heard LYTV has one of the most dangerous approaches in the world due to the mountain and the winds coming from the sea.
Did you use charts? It's much better when you do. 😉
