Quick definition help

Odyssey Guest

Firstly, sorry for posting so many questions in one day. I've only recently found this site and can't stop using. Definately going to become a real member soon.

Anyway, can anyone tell me what is meant by OM, IM and MM? I know if you have the MKR switch on in your radio stack they bleep at different points but what do they actually mean?

Tnx for any input.

They are called marker beacons.

Outer-OM Blue/------
Middle-MM amber/.-.-.-.-.-
Inner- IM white/............

They give positive Identification of an aircrafts position along the Localizer course.
