Hello,
I was just wondering what evrybodies favourite airline is and why. I recently travelled to Munich with British Airways and I have to say they are my favourite:
free roll,
free drink,
comfortable seats etc

Thanks 😂 😂 😂

i sort of like and hate delta. i like it because i live in cincinnati and can get just about anywhere with a minimum of stops. i hate it because they don't serve food anymore. all you get is just a box of crackers and some cheap bottle of water!!! not even peanuts!!!!! Mad

I like Virgin Atlantic and BA, I'm not a big fan of low-cost airlines although I usually fly with them on short routes. 😀

I find no frills airlines like easyjet and ryanair actually feel unsafe when you are inside because of the lack of furnishings.

I haven't flown with them all, so it's hard to tell. I have flown:

Olympic
Lufthansa
British Airways
Transavia
KLM
Northwest
United
Southwest

I can't say I hated any of them. All were professional, the trips comfortable and - in retrospect - safe. Lufthansa charged exorbitant amounts of money even for a little overweight - others let it slide, so points off from LH. On the other hand, they gave me a comfortable seat with lots of leg space (right behind the business class divider).

Olympic is crammed, but the food is good and they are probably amongst the safest airlines in the world (best technical department and excellent pilots). Still, your legs may suffer.

BA was fine, I slept through the whole trip. I was really cold, but they gave me all the blankets I asked for.

Transatlantic voyages with KLM/NW and LH/United were both fine. I think KLM is best, followed by United - just my impression.

Transavia was just fine. New aircraft, friendly service, but seemed to be struggling (they didn't have enough meals for example, I didn't care for one anyway, but some people will cause a stink). Still, liked them.

Finally, Southwest is in a league of its own. I like how they do business, the staff is friendly and the fares are cheap!

I've been fortunate enough to board the following aircraft, at one time or another --

American Airlines
Northwest
Delta
KLM
British Airways
Lufthansa
Air France
MEA
Saudi Arabian Airlines
Gulf Air
Emirates

Now, I'm not going to give a description of each and everyone, but I must say, my favorites are:

MEA (By far: Best service, Most comfortable, Affordable, Efficient, All around Beauty)

Emirates (More comfortable than my own house for goodness sake -- but honestly, they care about every passenger individually)

Northwest (I flew them translantic a few times, when we connect in Amsterdam with KLM. Now, they did have the standard great service and everything, but what astounded me, was when we arrived in Minneapolis, to connect down to DFW on one occasion, they were kind enough to welcome us in Dutch, English, and ... Arabic! (My native language) 😉 -- I personally found that very heart-warming. 🙂

I travel often with both low-cost and full service airlines and find the professionallism equal with both carriers. The only major difference is he lack of amenities and this is of course the whole idea.

Ok, I have to ask: What is MEA? =)

Middle East Airlines, I think they're based in Lebanon.

I guess my favourite would be Singapore Airlines followed by KLM.

Hard to say...I really like Miami Air, although I've only flown them once. They fly the 738, lots of seat room, beautiful stewardesses, and excellent food.

I also really like Ryanair, because I feel you get infinitely more than you pay for...I mean, what can you expect for a nickel each way?

Virgin Air had great amenities and stuff, but I dunno, I felt suffocated by Britishness on their flight, they go out of their way to be extra British, and regular British is almost too much for me.

Have flown:

BA
American
TWA
Northwest
Air France
Jersey European
KLM
United
Lufhansa

If they fly the route, I prefer to fly American Airlines. Besides the service in the air I've always found their ground support very helpful. They have a good website and their newsletters are full of good info.

I guess flying First or Business and having flown over 550,000 miles with them might make me a little biased. 😂

I really like Air New Zealand and Qantas, mainly because they are the only two I really travel on, here in New Zealand. 😂
