i was flying a 777-200 on one of singapore airlines newest routes, wsss (changi) to viar (amritsar) with autopilot set and was at cruising altitude😀
i set it to 16x speed and let it go for about 40 minutes. then all of a sudden my plane spins violently out of control and nosedives straight into the ground!!!!! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? Wall Bashing Wall Bashing Wall Bashing

A possible failure if you ar using FSPax?Or a sudden wind-weather change?

maybe ran out of fuel?

It would help a great deal if you told us whether you are using FSP or not.

fuel was still near half full 🙂
aircrafts behaviour was FAR too weird for a change of weather.
fspassengers said there was no failure

cheers 😀

Did this happens while you were far from your computer or just the time you get back?Any possibilities to hit ''Z''(I think it disengaged AP) Dont Know

FSPax dont report even a human mistake?

That is the price you pay for flying at 16x. Any problem, be it turbulence, failure, etc., that would be controllable in real time, turns into a disaster.

Flying at 16x is like driving at 1200 mph while talking on a cell phone.

Autopilot only works at a max rate of x8

I think its untill x16 dear Kianok. Embarassed

The reason I included the reference to the cell phone, is that some folks seem to think that between the time you set the A/P on and when you turn it off, you don't have to pay attention to anything.

If time is a problem, people would do better to fly shorter flights in real time, than longer ones with time acceleration.

x16, but it gets sluggish in making turns at that speed.

Dont you believe that this is not a point of disagreement my friends?Everyone customize FS the way he likes...Thats my thought 😀

Maybe to a certain extent, like 2x or something, but to use 16x for 40minutes while you're not anywhere near your computer seems utterly pointless. If you can't fly half way across the world without actually flying anything BUT the takeoff and landing, DON'T FLY IT.

Just doesn't make sense to me, but thats me, if you enjoy doing it go ahead. 🙂
