Reading the instruments

I am new to FS2002, and so far having no problem with the instruments in the various Cessna aircraft. But I don't know how to read the Nav guage on the Learjet 45, or other jets. All three radios (Nav1, Nav2 and NDB) seem to be combined into a single gauge, using colors. But what does the "broken" arrow mean? How do I get glidepath information when I have a radio tuned to a localizer? Is there something in the help files that could teach this stuff?

In Library/Help click on View Help Topics, next click on Index, now scroll down to 'radio'. There are several articles dealing with the radio. That's all I could find in FS2002, hope it is useful.
