push framerate?

I am experiencing stuttering framerate for some ac models and some areas
especially near a big city. But my CPU usage is only 60% at peak, RAM usage
is only 40% out of 1.5 GB. The last thing is my ATI 9800 pro, is the
stuttering only comes from the video card? Is there any way to give the CPU
more work to do to relieve the videocard? Any code modification in one of
the cfg files? There gotta be a way to make better use of the
resources......

Try this program.

Shut down textures, water, and shadows. Lower the clouds as much as possible, the same with traffic and see how you do.
One of the problems is that you are near a graphic intensive area and if you have an aircraft with a high LOD it's going to use that card up quickly.
I have the same card and it's great for the money, one of the best.

I am experiencing the same problem as nottobe, but the thing is that I want to solve the problem WITHOUT lowering the graphics etc. of FS.. I know it sounds impossible, but the last thing I want to do is to make it look worse. I want it all as real as possible

In addition to RadarMan's right suggestions you can lower your sound setting to low and also give a try with lower screen resolution.Your graphics would be almost the same and your system will spend less power 😉
